Only some birds that fly that hight are buzzards, condors, and certain eagles.

But they stay below the clouds becacause, they have to scan the area for prey.

I think that the constellation of any band depicts it's character and it's succes. Carlos Santana is a great musician and perhaps the greatest of them all . But, it also depends strongly on who, is backing him up. When a musician leaves a band, that particular band looses it's luster .
