I figured it out. When a phoenix grows old and dies, it bursts into flame. The singer is saying he has been through too much, and just can't do it anymore. He refers to his partner as the fire that will let him start over.

I am currently lost in the Nether with about four stacks of glowstone, so I don't want to respawn, but I have no way of building another portal. I'm trying to figure out how to navigate it without any vital supplies. Any ideas?

I really like this band. They take a deep, heartfelt purpose, and play it out with a sound that actually makes you feel good. Not depressed or sad or scared or grieving, but happy. I've never heard anyone else who plays like that. Keep it up!

I like it. At first, I thought it was a good song, but maybe needed a deeper meaning, but by the time the end came around, I realized the song had been hiding heartbreak behind an upbeat mask. I love the way it starts to crumble at the end, and makes you realize the emotions behind it. Nice job!
