The Funk Junkie is a musician, DJ, collector of obscure music, and beatmaker. He currently produces for Shaymlusly Elliterate, Cassidiom, & Does Stir. As a DJ and producer, he's opened up for and shared the stage with Gift of Gab, Raashan Ahmad, Mykah 9, Sweatshop Union, The Nappy Roots, Dead Prez, Curren$y, Nipsey Hussle, The Chicharones (Sleep of Oldominion & Josh Martinez), Dark Time Sunshine (with Onry Ozzborn of Oldominion/Grayskul), Andre Nickatina, Medusa, and more. In addition, the Funk Junkie has produced original material for the Seattle Public Theatre's play "Mauritus", written by Pulitzer Prize nominated writer Theresa Rebeck, and Theater Schmeater's original play "Crooked". As a drummer and trumpet player, he's opened for numerous jazz legends such as Paquito D'Rivera, Ernie Watts, Abraham Laboriel, Wayne Bergeron, Brian Bromberg & more.
