"Sid Meier's: Civilization." is a game of strategy filled with evolving technology and politics. You must "discover" the alphabet, before discovering writing, before discovering literature, before building your first library, before building your first university, and eventually building a ship to travel into space. In the game, if you want to change your form of government you will click a button. Let's say your kingdom is a monarchy and you've discovered democracy. You click the button, and the computer asks if you would like to initiate a revolution. You say "Yes," and your kingdom descends into anarchy. After a number of turns you will regain control, and your people will return to work under their "new" government. As you are the one playing the game, you are the one controlling this government, and you are the one that initiates this revolution. After the revolution, you are still playing the game, and you are still the one who is running the country, whatever its "title."
