    THE .22 STORY

A story that made me change my views on the .22

@MrJoesouthside I have seen a few comments like this. I personally don't feel that a gun kills. People kill. A gun is just a tool, but I also recognize that your point is that all guns are deadly in the hands of a person. Good post.

    Ice Fishing In Northern Michigan

Ice Fishing contest for the kids in Gaylord, MI miseasons.com

Never Fished Gaylord, but I have fished a few areas around Michigan, lower and upper peninsula both. No other state is blessed with so much in the way of great fishing waters, even if the DNR, and other groups are destroying the deer hunting in the U.P.

My son underestimates the 444 Marlin.

He wanted to tryout the 444 Marlin. He didn't think it recoil much more than a .223 remington. Said he is use to the 30-30.. So I let him have a st...

@TheFoundersWereRight As a slight correction, the Micro Groove will handle the 355gr, but the 405 cannot be pushed fast enough in safe pressures to stabilize. For anyone looking to, Use a Gas Check, Keep the velocity high, and have fun.

@lordsummerisle87 The real reason for the rim on the cartridge was that most cases were straightwall designs that were adapted, the same way the 375H&H spawned an entire family of cartridges based on its basic case. Rounds like the 45-70 or 38-55 had no shoulder to headspace on, so that was the j...

Chick Shooting the Massive 45-70 Rifle Powerful Recoil

    Hey guys,

Here I am shooting a very powerful rifle. The 45-70! It almost hit me in the eye!

@SummitTwelve You mean he rules the pack of liberal idiots who want to trash our constitution? Or did you mean he rules the other pack of idiots who travel around claiming America is the source of the world's problems? I guess if you are picky about it both are correct. In any case he is an incom...

How to Shoot a Recurve Bow

Shooting a recurve bow in archery is different than other bows. Learn about shooting a recurve bow including draw length and arrows in this archer...

I'm not going to attack anybody here. What I will say is that as hunters, our worst enemy is not anti hunting groups. Our worst enemy is ourselves, and the bickering between cliques. Hunting with traditional or modern equiptment should be respected without one side calling the other worthless. sa...

THE STRONGEST, TOUGHEST, 44 MAGNUM. PERIOD.

It's awesome, and it's a classic. What else is to be said?

@doug5959 And the Redhawk Cylinder is longer. This means you can seat and crimp a bullet out, pack more powder in for a heavier bullet for higher velocity, and still keep pressures standard. Any lesser gun would not be up to this. Accuracy is average, and single actions have the edge there, but t...

    44 mag v.s. 30-30 marlins

44 magnum and 30-30 both are marlin rifles

@LateKnight347 They don't need the scope, so you can take them off if you want. I do know however their are people out their whose eyesight does require a scope.

    Top Break Schofield Revolver

My Top Break Uberti Schofield Revolver in 45LC

Also, for fans of the Schofield, I know of two movie appearances it has made. Deadly Shooter, and Crossfire Trail. I also cannot remember if they were used in 310 to Yuma or not, but it is great to see them getting some much deserved attention.

    bear hunting with a spear

this video is the only one that I know of that has been documented of the hunter actually throwing the spear ( not gigging )

@MrAloha101 That is no different than with a rifle, handgun, or archery equiptment though. It is the job of the hunter to put the tool at use into the vitals so that a quick, clean, ethical kill is made. I have never believed that energy from a projectile kills, but rather the damage to vital org...

    Colt 1847 Walker ( A.Uberti )

@sethdesade Uberti Actually states they could have solved the problem, but they wanted it to be accurate to the originals so that a person shooting both side by side would not be able to tell the difference between the original and a Uberti. Quite a statement of respect for the originals in toda...

    Pietta 1860 Army Colt Replica

Shooting .454 round balls with 30 grain Pyrodex pellets from the bench.

@ImWatchinTheTube They Should be limited to charges of about 30 grs or less. If you want a larger charge, you would need to go to a colt Dragoon(50 grs max) or a Colt Walker(60 grs). Also, if you use conical pistol bullets, you need to reduce the charge weight from maximum so it seats below the c...

@darkwoodmovies True, the new cars have better performance, but the thing about the old cars is that they each had their own personality and flare. even brand to brand, very few cars were copies of other same owned names with a different badge only. @mojothemigo The Actual classification of a Falchion is a single edged sword, generally being blade heavy to give added cutting power. 1966 Mustang Inline 6 Cyl

I know it's not that interesting..but here's a cold start (it was like 45 degrees) and walkaround of my '66 6 cylinder Mustang.

    Can anyone tell me...

@MrChevyman555 You really don't understand the idea of keeping a classic car original do you? Also, inlines have some interesting advantages to them. Granted the engine in this video needs some work, but it is fine without a v8.

KA-BAR USMC Quality Issues - ''NOT AGAIN!!!''

This is an update about how KA-BAR USMC knives are dropping in quality.

It might just be problems with the tempering, The design has proven sound, it is just the metal that is failing at a stress point. My brother has one of these, only 3 years old. He has used it as a prybar, to open a locked door, beat and abused that poor thing and it is still straight and tough. ...
