About this user

Originally I wanted to be a comic illustrator or a cartoonist. When I was a child and into my teens I frequently could be found drawing medieval scenes or the heroes and villains from my comic book collections. Somewhat of an escape into my imagination. I had been drawing since I could hold a marking utensil. It just made sense to me. Every etch having a purpose and every scene born from the efforts of the last. From very early I knew exactly what I wanted to do and who I wanted to be.

It took years to convince myself to do this professionally. In late 2006 I made the decision to invest myself into this full time. The majority of my work now is from those years after. Folk Utopia is in the very early stages of what I have planned for it. Eventually I want to retire and teach. The studio will then be a promotion platform for those students and to further the promotion of the arts. Person to person as it was intended ages ago.
