I don't even like Madonna anymore (an ex-fan) and I still believe this video to be the greatest I've ever seen. Romanek is genius. You can tell he directed both Bedtime Story and NiN's Closer; they have strange little similarities

This is like an edgy, down to earth, dirty version of Madonna's Bedtime Story video. Only far more creative, because the Madonna vid was inspired by various spanish paintings, whereas this video's imagery seems to be entirely made up by NiN themselves
