Not disagreeing with you, but it's june 22nd.. haven't noticed this dramatic price increase... yeah food and everything will go up due to inflation/etc, that's normal..
A bottle of coke used to be 10 cents a loong time ago... now it's ~1.25$/20oz.
And DO pay attention to those dates.. botulism....
