You have a nice natural tone to your voice but you could use some coaching. You need to stop singing through your nose and support your voice. Try standing still, feet hip width apart and place your hand on your diaphragm, make sure you are breathing from there, this will help support your voice ...

@drvowel Oh don't get me wrong, I have nothing against Adele, she'd got a great voice and enjoy her songs, was using her as a mere example of 'modern' music.....In other words, my friends tend to focus on current stuff, whereas my taste is more eclectic. No offense intended against the Adele lol x
