Like all early Japanese cars, they had rust issues, but they were strong running cars with a reputation for strength and reliability to no end. Far superior to the American made pieces of shit on the road in that time.

I remember when numerous magazines and top automotive critics took up the "Iacocca Challenge." Chrysler products failed miserably on just about every one when compared to German and Japanese cars.

I remember when my family ran a Dodge dealership back in the late 70's. These pieces of shit, like all Chrysler products of that era, would literally fall apart sitting on the train on their way to the west coast dealerships. Truly a very bad point–in– time for Chrysler!
