Greg Witt is a 21 year old Freelance Drummer and Percussionist from Johannesburg South Africa. He has been playing drums and percussion for over 10 years. He started out in 2001, playing in the East Rand Youth Orchestra. At the age of 13 Greg played his first concert as a hired percussionist for the Johannesburg Symphony Orchestra. In 2005 he became Principal Percussionist for the orchestra and still holds that office today.Greg has studied Drums and Percussion under some of the most respected players/teachers in South Africa, among them are Rob Watson, David Gooding, and Quentin Turner. He currently studies at Drumlab studios, under Master Session Drummer Neill Ettridge. Greg has played with the Johannesburg Philharmonic Orchestra, the JMl, as well as various other freelance and session dates. Greg teaches drums and percussion from his home studio in Benoni. It is his dream to one day build a log cabin with all of his broken drum sticks.
