1) He slapped the baby's butt to make him stand up. It probably wasn't a hard slap either, what was he supposed to do? Whisper in his ear? I slap my five-year-olds butt to make him get in the pasture! Probably the least painful place to hit a horse.

That guy isn't being abusive at all... He doesn't look like the best rider/trainer ever but I really think that horse is one-up on him.
