Family fortunes were lost during this war. My family lost their lives and their possessions but we lost no honor and although it has taken generations to begin to get back to where we once was we are getting there with honor intact. God save the South and bless our beloved Tennessee.

I found this version a few years ago and I also think it is the best version out there for this song. Bobby Horton is a phenomonal performer. I have enjoyed his music for some time. He performs music of both South and North and does them all very well.

I have been to Drayton Hall and it is a great place to visit. I am glad to see it being continually preserved. The visit there was a wonderful experience.
