I can stell recall watching this live, and as Ayrton Senna left the ideal line in the craner curves to pass Karl Wendlinger on the right (after 21 seconds in this video), I was just thinking - this can't work, now he will slide off at 200 kph. But this man seemed to be able to walk on water.

@DusSpotter96 I strongly doubt that. The BAe 146 experienced aerotoxic syndrome due to leakage of tricresyl phosphate into the plane's bleed air. This has been blamed on problems with leaking engine seals. The Jumbolino is famous for that problem.

fantastic circuit, beautiful car, tremendous horsepower, perfect driving. Unfortunately way too dangerous, no wonder that the 80's had four fatalities in F1 racing (Depailler, Villeneuve, Paletti and de Angelis). It was breathtaking to watch these cars, but I don't want these times back.

@ChuckNorrisOfF1 No car of the 1993 season had more than 740hp. Senna's duel with Prost in Imola was more of a duel with 690 vs 730hp, not 600 vs 800hp. The longer Senna is dead, the more powerful Prost's car seems to become in the memory of some people.

This I why I like formula car races more than touring car races. Touring car racing is more or less martial arts.

If there hadn't been the disastrous accidents of Villeneuve, Paletti and Pironi, 1982 would have been the best formula one season ever. eleven winners in sixteen races. with only three races to go (Dijon, Monza and Las Vegas) ELEVEN drivers had been in contention for the title!
