My favorite movies tend to be indie sorts and comedy - Into the Wild - even though I feel they romanticize it a bit, I can fall in love with their play on his Alaskan odyssey. TransAmerica - I just fell in love with the way this movie was shot, the character development, and the mind blowing dedication Felicity Huffman put into her work. Get Him to the Greek - as I said before, I'm in love with Russell Brand and anything he does - I found this movie a great follow up to Forgetting Sarah Marshall.

My favorite music is across the board, I have favorites in many different genres, but off the top of my head - Nirvana - I've been fascinated with the story behind the band, behind each member, and I really love how this type of music blew away the typical pop star success, its unexpected really, and its amazingly calming to listen to for me. I get into a sort of trance, I feel strong after listening to their music. John Mayer - he is a lyrical genius to me and an amazing guitarist. Like with anything I'm drawn to, his music calms me and puts me in a particular mood, its almost spiritual. Maroon 5 - I feel like Adam Levine and Maroon 5 are the most underrated band of the 2000's and now. Their music is unmistakable, you hear a riff and you know its them. His voice is very unique and his music is extremely sexual.

I tend to only like nonfiction stories, they are easier to relate to. My favorite book is Into the Wild by Jon Krakauer - the movie is much more romantic - the book makes it clear that Chris (Alex) was ill prepared while still celebrating his spirit, love for nature, and his need to break off from society and find himself. I'm in love with all of the work the writer did while putting this book together. I also really have this grasp towards the book "Comfortable with Uncertainty", it really keeps me grounded, its easy to navigate and it just has good "real life" messages. Its based off of Buddhist teachings, but in no way does it pressure you or make you feel inferior and condemn you like other religions. Its a very peaceful religion that I have great respect for. I am deeply in love with the book "Heavier than Heaven" a biography written about Kurt Cobain; its very detailed and the author did a lot of work and research, many interesting interviews make up parts of the book, every aspect of his life from young childhood to stardom and everything in between. I also really am a huge fan of Russell Brand and anything he does, his books My Booky Wooky and My Booky Wooky 2 tell about his life and further prove his tremendous intelligence and deem him a comedic genius.
