The Catharsis are Birmingham's most infectious and exciting hardcore outfit. The release of God Damned provides the opportune time for the band to take their live show to towns and cities up and down the UK, while confirming their rise from Midland's upstarts to national newcomers.

Unapologeticaly ruthless, there is no room, need, or care for spin or name-drops here. The Catharsis are the perfect flag-bearer for the wealth of UK talent that can be found ripping apart the UK toilet circuit every day of the week; playing to intimate crowds of loyal, passionate music lovers who are there to get down and dirty. When they take their self-coined 'Sabbath Town hardcore' to the stage is really when they come to life and it's easy to see where their reputation as arguably one of the best live bands around has come from.

They do not claim to be pioneers of the genre, nor do they care about such titles, but what they offer in contrast to many of their peers is a refreshing flashback to a time when hardcore took on punk sensibilities and quite simply, delivered a metaphorical punch in the face with every track played. There's every chance you'll be able to identify the band's influences and again, it's of no concern to them. They formed TC to follow in the footsteps of the bands they loved enough to be inspired to pick up an instrument and form a band.

'God Damned' plunges the band into unexplored territories, looking into darker themes which were never really displayed in early demos, while still managing to maintain the groove and rock 'n' roll vibe that earned the band its ever increasing legion of fans
