About this user

The Cane Corso is a large, lean molosser-type dog. It is well muscled and looks more athletic than most other mastiffs, It originated in Italy. Its direct ancestor is the "Canis Pugnax" (the old Roman Molossian) of which he or she is the light version employed in the hunting of large wild animals and also as an "auxiliary warrior" in battles. For years they protect property, cattle and used for hunting purposes. In the past this breed was common all over Italy as an ample iconography and historiography testify. In the recent past they has found a excellent preservation area in Southern Italy, especially in Puglia, Lucania and Sannio. there names derives from the Latin "Cohors" which means "Guardian", "Protector".
all of Cane Corsos Italiano didnt go extinct. Luckily for the Corsi there were few most isolated parts of Southern Italy remained, from the 50s till the 80s, where traditional activities were carried out as before with the necessary improvements. It was in these places that the Corsi lived on, less used as working dogs but maintained anyway for passion or tradition. It was due to the persistence desire of a few to conserve the dogs inherited from their ancestors that the Corso, a part of the past agricultural economy and rural culture, survived. cane corso are one of the best breeds to own and I bet my life that now all breeds are perfect if they're brought up correctly some people just dont know how to understand the animal because they're too busy trying to understand the breed some fokes say pits can beat rotties and some say rotties can beat pits well I say somebody needs to beat them...
