I think this amp wasn't specifically designed for the strats single coils. On the clean channel the amp has a very fat sound vs a Fender amp that it Middy and highs more so.

As I said in the other post get a EQ pedal in the loop and you can then swing that tone that you can't get with the amps EQ. I promise no lie... my 333XL has a better EQ at +/- 15db per, and the EQ can just brighten up or scoop to really take the muddy/blanket effect out of it. Get a cheap Beh...

Old Post, but i think the fair way to do this review is NOT 12 O'clock for the EQ controls. Truth is the 6260 sounds better being the limit of the EQ swing.. Not allot of +/- on the 6260.

The 333Xl has 15db swing per EQ control giving you much better shaping.

Hands down they are BOTH excellen...

There are several companies that have done the same thing as the self Biasing on the fly and self adjusting over time thus extending the tube lifes..
