@rojblake82. I love it too. I was 13 when it was a hit and for me it was a very 60's sounding. The lyrics were also quite bleak and at that age it helped to open my eyes about life & songs.

@MrMGD92. I urge you to obtain the albums individually - each has its own mood. The songs ARE brilliant but each song is part of a greater whole (ie the album) and that enhances the enjoyment.

@4string59. A very underbaked album. But there are a handful of really good tunes on here (this one, Tomorrow, Wild Life, Dear Friend, Some People Never Know, Love is Strange). And it has a simplicity and innocence which it'd lack were it properly produced.

@starsmaniac. Yes but so much of the WHite Album is solo Beatles stuff. Rev 9 was totally John, as much as Blackbird was complete Paul. Junk and Child of Nature were rehearsed during the White Album sessions but in the end weren't recorded. Junk is certainly superior to Honey Pie, Don't Pass Me B...

@DayTrippers1. George was a beautiful person. Many of his songs are brilliant. But he was not the Saint he is painted as and he would be the first to point this out. Out of the Beatles, he was the most money minded and financially aware - Taxman is testament to his bitterness at hard earned money...

@jadaskylar. They would have produced 2 more brilliant albums (judging by their 1970-72 material) but thereafter they would have sullied their immaculate reputation rather in the style of the Rolling Stones or REM. So, it's better they split when they did with an almost perfect record.

@bluemeanie81. No I think you may be right, but they are very different albums. That said, Ray was better at social observation song writing than Lennon or Macca. The latter were probably better at escapist songs eg Strawberry Fields, Penny Lane. Then again, you can't really generalise, both band...
