FSU Wind Orchestra - Fall 2009 The Wind Orchestra is FSU's top wind ensemble and consists of a fairly balanced combination of graduate and undergraduate students. In their first concert of Fall 2009 they performed five pieces, the first and last of which were premieres. The fourth piece they played was "October" by Eric Whitacre which I was unable to record. However, if you wish to hear a recording of an FSU ensemble performing it, you can watch the video I uploaded of the Concert Band performing the piece back in Spring 2009.

Unfortunately, the College of Music has started making it apparent that they don't want anyone to record the concerts via announcements at the beginning of this semester's concerts in Opperman, and notes on the programs for the concerts in Ruby Diamond. As such, until further notice I won't be able to record and therefore post any more videos on here :-(

I'm sorry that this the way it is and so I hope you all can enjoy the other 220 videos I've collected over the last two years. Trust me, if anything changes or if I can get permission to begin recording again, I will do so immediately. Stay on the lookout in case I end up needing to get a petition signed or anything lol. I apologize for the inconvenience and am happy that I was able to keep it going for as long as I did. Take care

Although this used to be a private account, I have decided to dedicate it solely to videos recorded at Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida: Whether it be a recording of the UPO (University Philharmonic Orchestra) the Concert Band, or even of one of chamber ensemble performances.

I made this account for FSU's College of Music for a simple reason. Back when I found out I would be attending FSU I was really excited and wanted to hear what the bands I'd be auditioning for sounded like. However, after searching YouTube and other websites I could hardly find any recordings of any of the ensembles. I want future Seminoles, (and current ones of course) to be able to find out what's going on in the concert halls of the third largest accredited school of music in the country. Though I can't be everywhere at once, and because I do have a life, I can't post everything, but I'm going to try and put all of the main concerts and all the other ones I can afford to attend.
