~ "THE BINGS" OFFICIAL YOU-TUBE CHANNEL ~

The Bings were the first Southern California band to bring the underground Power Pop/New Wave/Punk Rock sounds from the Hollywood clubs - into the suburbs.

While their recordings of "Please Please Please", "Oh,No!", "Close Your Eyes" and "Hold On!" were being played on LA radio stations like The Legendary KROQ, KLOS and KCSN - The Bings were gigging at clubs like Madam Wong's in Chinatown and Doug Weston's Troubadour in Hollywood.

They also maintained a busy schedule playing college dates, high school dances, and trendy tourist traps, like The Queen Mary in Long Beach and Catalina Island.

"The Bings" is just one chapter in the exciting story of Power Pop, New Wave & Punk 1977-82.

Thanks for liking the vid of my family from XMas in the 50's. My father passed about a year ago and I found his films under a desk. I transferred them to digital and had fun editing them. I appreciate your nice words.

I wish I could find a list of all the songs played on KROQ 106.7 FM in the 80s.

Some really cool old KROQ archives you've got on here. :):):)
It must have been awesome to be around right when the 80's came into being, to witness it all happening first hand. I truly envy anyone that was able to do that. :):):)
