I've just started learning some of Randy's songs and man was he a melodic genius. You don't realize it necessarily at first because he had such a knack for pop hooks but the chord sequences in his songs were very sophisticated.

Such a brilliant piece of songwriting. You'll notice it never has any distinctive verses or choruses it just builds with one different part after another being tied together by the phrase In Dreams and the sheer power of his voice.
