I believe we probably went to the moon, but it's also obvious that NASA isn't always very honest. Astronomy is still in its infancy and probably in another 40/50 years we'll discover that most of what we know at the moment is incorrect. When you take both those things into account, maybe things aren't as clear as we think and maybe it's not such a good idea to slap people down.
