Billie Holiday was someone who encapsulated 'THE Blues' to a T. 'The Blues' can range from happy to sad... and one knows when one knows they are heard/felt. It helps to have benefited from hard times... but not essential. The Blues tell its own story to those who listen and hear :)

Me & a 'friend'... cried and re-watched as you could way back then... ie... re-watch! I had to go further and learn... the Blues means more than music. People are frightened of what it is...

Your back must be strong!! I did that for years and will never stop. Tonight though... memory moments. They are all good... but could have been better... nice gentle 'stepping stones' though.

I guess I lived a priveleged life for a while... [which is good... as I hear them loud and clear for it].
I was given a nice gift yesterday... a 'Doctor Clayton and his Buddy' Pearl Harbour Blues album. Loved his vocals ('specially his high notes) and the addition of the Tuba to his own kinda Blues : )) All I wanted when listening was a hammock under a shady tree with the warmth of the sun... No such luck though!!!
Time has been limited... but I thought I'd just leave you a thought or two : )

I'm aiming for an early start tomorrow so am also aiming to have an early night to prepare me for tomorrow. It's my favourite day of the week (Sunday) when my family comes around to visit... but I'm truly 'wiped out' in energy and loose change when they leave!! [smile]

I needed to stretch my ever stiffening limbs and enjoy the 'ones' who move so well... I'm never envious... but do try to imitate if enjoying a tipple or two.
