@TheAxeMan301 Because of how the RNG works, the chance to get 0 for that random number is actually 3/256. It's a pretty small chance so I can see how they would miss it.

@Angemell Also, the RNG cycles between 256 different values 30 times a second. So in the worst case I could be waiting over 8 sec to make something happen. In most cases I can plan it out to avoid this though.

@cptQc In this game there is one simple random number generator that controls how many enemies show up, whether you get a preemptive or enemies strike first, turn order in battle, damage, hit/miss on all attacks, and more. I reverse engineered the system and created a program to optimize how I ru...

@Aimarty This is due to a glitch that lets you swap the prices of items. Move from one item to another and press the A button right away. You'll get the second item for the price of the first. If you moved the cursor from an empty space, it is free. This is not difficult to do on a real NES.

Sliding down the slope is controlled by a counter that increments every 16 frames. But if you pause right before that it skips incrementing. When you jump it increments on landing and that can't be avoided with a pause.

You need the power ring to damage the big dragon boss at the end. So I get it before the fortress because it helps a lot there. Makes the grinding on spiders a lot faster and makes all the boss fights a joke.
The level 3 water attack definitely makes Mado a lot easier but actually takes more tim...

The main thing is to stab with the sword because the thunder sword shots lag badly. Killing all the robots before they spread out helps a lot too. But yeah, it's mostly due to lag.

@ITGSKIZ Yes, if you jump at just the right time you can jump again on the pit. It works because the game takes a couple frames to decide that you are over a pit before dropping you in. But if you jump at that instant it won't drop you.

There is a more recent version that finishes about 2 sec faster. But it's neat to see that people are still watching my run. :)
