The Avery Set is a strong cocktail of sorts. Capable of seamlessly transcending genres such as rock, folk, and country, The Avery Set will whisk you away in a time machine back to the 50s to shake hands with Johnny Cash, stop to have tea with Leonard Cohen, and finally, talk politics with Conor Oberst. It all started in a small, Michigan tourist town with high school friends, singer/songwriter Chris Zehnder and drummer Jake Bartlett. Jake and I have been playing music together going on six years now. We know each others styles so well, its almost as if we can talk without speaking, says Zehnder. With its praiseworthy new members, guitarist Brandon Harris and bassist Jacob Johnson, The Avery Set has just released there second full-length album entitled Returning to Steam. The new album was received with wild applause from a sold out theatre in their home state. Returning to Steam is already achieving illustrious media attention and even deemed a masterpiece by the Review Magazine. Now residing in Nashville, TN The Avery Set is turning heads in one of the most competitive music scenes in the world. These four young friends and their ability to make amazing music together are the key ingredients for a successful future.
