In response to your post I do agree that it is important to know and figure what the framers intent and spirit was for the creation of our constitution. It is important for us in a historical sense so we can look to our own past in not only this country but internationally so that we can be aware not to repeat the same mistakes. We must interpret and adjust our laws to fit our own modern times. We are much different than we were 240 years ago with different needs and attitudes. Basically we must learn from them to prevent our old mistakes and fit our laws for the times.
