Great review, Sootch! I've owned two of these guns over the last 4 years or so, and I absolutely love them. One thing you'll notice as the gun breaks in is that that smooth trigger gets even smoother after 2-300 rounds. Here's a tip: Loctite your extractor screw. They're a little stingy with...

@mathnerdm You might want to re-think that thought on lock strength. I got a Spyderco Gayle Bradley a couple of months ago. It has the same thickness liners as the Vallotton, which are actually more akin to a frame lock knife. Having used it very hard, I can tell you that lock strength is real...

I'm a 44-year-old, reborn, Bible-believing Christian. I'm the father of three great kids from a marriage that didn't make it through my former life.My YouTube activity is primarily for the purpose of gaining knowledge about the Lord my God and networking with other followers of Christ. Occasionally, I might tangle with a false teacher or two, especially when I see them putting people's eternal lives at risk. I attend a Bible-believing independent Baptist church in the great midwestern US. I'm scheduled to begin seminary training in the spring of 2011, and my calling is to the mission field.
In addition to my service to the Lord, I also have an affinity for edged weapons, guns and tactical gear. I'm an avid hunter and fisherman too. But perhaps most importantly, I , like many other Americans and Christians from all over the world, am preparing for a time which will be much simpler and much less comfortable. Whether we're on the threshold of the end times or in a period where society as we know it begins to crumble and regress to a more natural state of being, I want my family and friends to thrive and be content. So I look to YouTube for the sharing of information in this regard too.
Some of my old YouTube friends might remember me from my former channel, "rbcarnut," which I took down in February, 2010. I removed that channel primarily because I just don't have the time to produce videos, but I was also becoming uncomfortable with the content of my body of work and how I might be defined by it. It just wasn't a good representation of who the Lord has made me. This is not to say that you won't see a knife review or shooting vid on "TheApostleP," but they just won't be as prevalent as the sharing of the Gospel.
