The Alpha Road

The Alpha Road is the praise band of the Japanese Baptist Church of North Texas (JBCNT), located in North Dallas, nearby I-635/LBJ and Preston Rd.

The name of the band came from the street address of the church, 6040 Alpha Rd., but it was also inspired by bible verses: I am the Alpha and the Omega... (Revelation 1:8), and I am the road and the truth and the life. (John 14:6).

Led by Rev. Yamanaka, the music minister "On-Boku" of the church, The Alpha Road plays contemporary music in our worship services and various church events. We also travel around the United States; last summer, we toured Georgia, Mississippi, and Alabama, performing at multiple churches/campuses. We also perform at universities in the Dallas-Ft. Worth metroplex.

The Alpha Road started to compose and perform original praise songs since last fall, and some of our songs have already been played in other churches in Japan and Germany.
