You need to keep all of your fingers lightly on the sticks. Obviously you don't want them cramped, but you need them to gain control. Right now, your roll sounded a little rough. Also, keep the beads closer to the center, right above the snare strainer, to obtain best possible sound.
@oboistreceng1 That's Vadim Karpinos wrecking shop on timp!! Have you seen him play orchestral percussion? He is right up there with Richard Weiner, Chris Lamb, Marc Damoulakis, etc, etc.
