I'm tired of all the political correctness going on that only surrounds basically all people except the Asians. Asia holds some of the oldest civilizations, yet in other people's eyes, they still see us as these uncultured animals who kowtow to them. They can say, without any controversy, any racial slander to us Asians without getting any backlash. "chinks, gooks, japs, nips, slant-eyed yellows", height jokes, penis-size jokes, dog/bug-eaters, grammar and pronunciation jokes, cheap laborers, job-stealing, and etc are all harmless to them. But if we'd say slurs at them, they'd go nuts and demand us to apologize live on TV or some shit like that.
Even things that aren't considered remotely racist are an insult to us. For example, there isn't an Italian cuisine, but there's Tuscan, Sicilian, and etc. It's imperative that people respect that or else some people might get angry for not recognizing how diverse Italy is. But at the same time, when they combine lime, cilantro, and peanut butter in a dish, it's automatically "Asian" cuisine. Fuck that shit, it's not even considered Thai. Talk about diversity, one Asian nation can probably be more diverse than the whole continent of Europe.
Why do we allow this to happen. Can we really let them continue to preach about equality?
I think it's because Asians in general would rather actually do an honest man's work, than bitch at people about race and ethnicity. We'd rather have the worst possible job out there than to wait in line for welfare cheques. We'd rather stay silent than to quarrel. I think this is in no way a sign of weakness, but rather strength. We'll let them talk like that to us for now, but if they're ever in our home turf, they're the foreign minorities now. And for those foreigners that travel to Asia and still think they're superiors that can get away with anything, you've got another thing coming. Because Asia is once again starting to rise now and will soon be on top, just like how it's always been for centuries.
But I think ultimately, the main enemy of us Asians are the inter-Asian conflicts that we have (some of which, Westerners are responsible for). I'm not saying we should forget things that shouldn't be forgotten, but we should forgive, if not, at least we got to learn how to respect each other. Or else those outsiders are just going to continue to laugh at us.
