About this user
Singing: I actually started singing when I was in the second grade.
Piano Debut: In the fourth grade, I entered the Clavinova Festival. In preparation for this event, I was assigned the piano piece "Somewhere Out There" by my piano teacher. I practiced repeatedly making sure I memorized the piano piece. An hour before the contest, my teacher went over the final steps such as inserting the floppy disk, programming the rhythm and beats, and one final run of the play. This experience was very exciting and a memorable event.
When the host introduced my name and my piano piece, I was very nervous, but also thrilled. I proceeded to do the exact same procedures as I practiced earlier in the day. As I started playing, I became more relaxed and I started to sway to the music I played. To finish off my performance, I bowed before the audience. While the host, announced the winner, I stood proud of my performance and felt I won the competition. With all the suspense, he called my name for the showmanship award. At that moment, I was amazed at what hard work can provide.
