Not helpful for thick, very wavy hair. I can't just curl my hair. I would have to straighten it first [I can't because I don't have a dryer or iron, btw], and it would take hours to do that. Then when I finally get to curling it, my hair would be a massive fluffball of frizz and too much volume.
