Basically, this is 1987, the year that people tend to forget about...

We at The 1987 Channel hate the massive amount of poor quality music hitting the charts nowadays and we believe that everybody should ditch the shite tunes of today and listen to the classic songs of the 70s and 80s? I mean, who is better, Lynyrd Skynyrd or Mariah Carey? Mariah Carey's music will not be listened to 30 years from now. She will be an old tart by the time her music reaches the current age of Sweet Home Alabama and nobody will really look back on her achievements. They'll have some other self-loving prick to follow like a herd of sheep. This is why we at The 1987 Channel hate modern music - it has nothing left to say for itself! Since 2000, music has only gotten crappier and crappier as the stars have turned into greedy fascist cunts who are only interested in getting monies off poor suckers like you!

Look at that awful Peter Kay Christmas song with Geraldine McQueen. What a load of fucking horse shit! Christ, I would come after Geraldine McQueen with a .44 Magnum, a carving knife and a meat tenderiser had she been real and had the actor portraying her not produced some friggin' excellent comedy over the last decade!

We believe that artists who make enduring, meaningful tunes should be entitled to the monies of the tax-paying public. But how many of them do we have nowadays? Let me look at the usual Top 10 of today - songs by drug dealers, anorexic bitches and morons. Do they deserve our monies? No! They can sod off.

Everybody boycott the charts and listen to 1980s music!
