@jfsa380 My bad, flaps were not working indeed. But the pilots didn't use them, they unlocked slats (leading edge surfaces) instead.

@nodevoutt without visual clues it's extremely hard to feel the plane changing direction. After all, the autopilot is designed to make all turns and revolutions as comfortable as possible for those onboard.
