The ever expanding James Boyd has only one thought in mind when approaching a new song: make it better than the last one. Producing since he was 14 and rapping since he was 10, this 20 year-old's young career has only just begun but already surpasses many. With background in piano and drums, his production style is unconventional and always climatic ranging from cinematic type themes to fast paced synthesized--laden beats. As a rapper he pushes to connect with his audience with thought provoking but catchy lyrics and topics that leave listeners feeling as if he's speaking specifically to that individual. From an early age Boyd has built a network of relationships with several artists, producers, DJs, and engineers that is steadily growing which is key to his success. He's constantly feeding off the talents and different perspectives of those he meets to make the best music and his electric performances span Chicagoland. His music has been featured on popular blog sites such as illcity.com and gowherehiphop.com and is currently in the process of releasing his first project If There's White Space mixed in the fall by Soundscape Recordings and his newest project Since Ya'll Like To Play Stupid, which is in production as we speak. People say "the sky is the limit," and James' mind state is, "Why stop there?"
