That is absolutely correct. Conservatives are the people most

likely to think if a black person or good-looking woman

succeeded, they must have done it through some kind of subterfuge.

If a conservative man lost a job to a good-looking woman, all of a sudden

beauty is not a laud...

I would add Pot Pies which even today cost less than a dollar, and Popcorn,

which fills you up. And jam sandwiches, and rice and beans.

It hardly qualifies as country at all . There was a Nancy Sinatra song, "Some

Velvet Morning" that critics dubbed "Cowboy / Western Psychedelia". I would

put this song there as well.

I wish more artists had done more with this genre, it certainly is more interesting

than anything offered today.
