The top notes in the original recording (and the was only one "Di quella pira" recorded by Caruso (in 1906)) are Bs.

Thanks! I was looking for this particular version with the loooong final top note. However, to be frank - Pavarotti's voice on super tops and on transfer to them is unpleasant, overpressed and unstable. But he is a very highly skilled squeacker. Anyway, I like Luciano very much :)
