An aspiring young symphonic composer from the tiny little island nation of Singapore.

This channel is for me to promote my own compositions, as well as help promote other good music around the world!

"An aspiring composer, Terrence Wong holds a Diploma in Music Performance (Composition) from the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts, Singapore and is currently working as a music teacher in Bishan Park Secondary School.

Under the patient tutelage of Dr Zechariah Goh Toh Chai, he has composed several substantial works and is still trying his very best to improve his compositional and arrangement skills. Even during his study in NAFA he has been commissioned several times to compose and arrange music for events and concerts.

His musical interests lie mainly with symphonic music, as his symphonic roots derive from his active participation in his secondary school band before pursuing his passion in NAFA. However, his passions also extend to other musics, such as the Central Javanese Gamelan. His compositional style is varied, and is still continuing to compose and find his own personal voice in music writing.

Terrence also plays various instruments. Terrence started out on the Yamaha Electone (Electric Organ), and learned to play the Bass Trombone during his secondary school years in Catholic High School. He has played the Euphonium for two years during his National Service in the Singapore Armed Forces Band, also playing for the 2010 Singapore International Band Festival with the Philharmonic Youth Winds and the debut performance of the P.H.E.T. (Philharmonic Horns, Euphoniums and Tubas). He also plays the Recorder in early music ensembles occasionally.

Terrence Wong was also Music Director of community band Novo Winds from 2010 to mid-2011, and is currently the Associate Conductor of AudioImage Wind Ensemble. In his current band, Terrence Wong will continue the band's vision of championing locally composed works by performing and calling for such works regularly."
