~As our children are our greatest hope
for the future and our most valuable
resource, and as my favorite 3 year old
little girl, Shiloh (aka Miss Kitty), is also my greatest love and inspiration, there are a few videos here just for them.~
Q.Where do babies get that power to
make grown adults act like, and make,
total (in the best sense of the word)
fools of themselves?...Okay, I'll speak
for just myself then. With who else can
I dance, sing, make faces, play my lips
like a kazoo, and speak in foreign tongues,
and never feel an iota of embarrassment
cuz she just laughs and laughs!
Rosaleen Dickson said,
*❤*"Whatever they grow up to be, they are still our children, and the one most
important of all the things we can give
to them is unconditional love. Not a love
that depends on anything at all except
that they are our children." *❤*

About Me:

~A close friend asked me recently,
"Are we ok? Are you cool?"
"Am I cool?," he asks... I thought about this...Granted, I've done a little more than average in this "school of life", and gotten through it with the lessons well learned, (and taught, when the person or situation warranted it.) I've long held the belief that there's a good reason for everything that happens, positive and negative alike. Every word we say, every action we take, every choice we make, and the experiences or consequences that come with those choices, is never wasted. I want to believe that this thing we call 'life', with all its pleasure and pain, goes toward our own self-awareness and the evolution of our Soul; not just yours and mine, but every Soul with a God-given "free will". Relax. I'm not going to preach at you. I never learned much in a church pew. Think of it as just 'common-sense principles'. A word of encouragement though, in these difficult times...all of our experiences teach us; but the really important, the most powerful, and sometimes the hardest lessons come with the extremely emotional events that befall us; because those are the times that we learn the most about ourselves! What do you think?
Still learning and trying to teach what I've learned...and isn't that what it's all about? So, maybe a little jaded, a little morbid, a little too fearless, and maybe even a little eccentric...but definitely wiser for it all...and that's cool! ~

Hometown:
Terra Firma
Interests:
Renaissance art; history; Kabbalistic studies; writing; learning to play/master the bodhran.
Movies:
My passion is for period-pieces such as 'The Merchant of Venice', 'Hamlet', 'Braveheart', 'Les Miserables', 'Gladiator', 'La Reine Margot', 'Restoration', 'Dead Man', 'The Mission', 'Rob Roy', 'The Piano', 'Legends of the Fall', 'Henry the V', ...others like 'The Lord of the Rings' [all three], 'The Brave One', 'Seven Pounds', 'Traffik' [1989 BBC version], 'The Maker', 'Breakfast On Pluto', 'Trainspotting', 'Shallow Grave', 'The Talented Mister Ripley', 'Naked', 'Citizen X', 'Closer', 'Snatch', 'American Beauty', 'Schindler's List', 'Pink Floyd: The Wall',...and too many more to list here.
Music:
As you might guess from the favorites list, I'm open to just about anything, bar the 99% hip-hop, pop, or whatever they're calling what's on the majority of mainstream radio these days...But while so seldom finding in today's music the inspiration, the originality, the imagination, the 'hook' [as in the music of the last 4 decades of the 20th century] ... I'm still listening for and, thankfully, occasionally finding those things.
Books:
Classic Works: 'Les Miserables' by Victor Hugo; 'Crime and Punishment' by Fyodor Dostoyevsky; 'The Count of Monte Cristo' by Alexandre Dumas; the works of Thomas Paine. Contemporary Works: 'Swan Song' by Robert R. McCammon; 'Storm' and 'Messiah' by Boris Starling; all of Anne Rice's novels...a note about that: I honestly don't get the attraction to the 'Twilight ' series; but seeing as how Anne Rice already had vampires (et al.) so beautifully described in her books, I'll always prefer her version...༻༺༻༺༻༺༻༺༻༺༻༺༻༺༻༺༻༺༻
