A person in love is not to be seen as pathetic at all. Not at all. Love is a force, a great power which is very rare really and can be drawn on by the person in love to give them strength through adversity. Hence "I am a woman in love, who is stronger than me?"

Ain't that the truth, Waapuk? Imelda May, closest to my singing style.

Omnipotent sway (wow!). Not looking too happy, though can't see too well. Accom. fine. Pos. could use a bit more bounce/colour.

Unbelievable. They said today that the tumour has grown and he has months or weeks to live. Yet he goes for solace to the very mistress who is poisoning him! "And Thou, too careless patient that Thou art, commitst Thy annointed body to those physicians that first wounded Thee!" Pleeeeeease give up smoking. Couldn't bear it.

" Without a doubt he had chosen to treat her appallingly, sadistically, spitefully, after all she had done for him, and the divorce process was the direct consequence of his choice. She should use her resources to deprive him of the power of assets and throw him out without the means to retain the girlfriend. Everyone said she should do that. But another of his choices had given him lung cancer and the spiteful, manipulative bully was fading into a small, powerless, very frightened man whose span could be months. There was noone else who would look after him. A Chinese proverb says that he who seeks revenge should dig two graves, one for the subject of the revenge - and one for themselves. His crimes against her were great, but she had it in her power to commit a crime that might be greater. What sort of woman was she?" - In Anima Habeo

Oh, take me away to Venice. I want to bask in the Basilica, run riot over the Rialto and vamp in a vaporetto...

Honestly, it's like Dallas or Dynasty here. Unbelievable. Patriarch seriously ill and grown offspring descending to stick their oar in and cause a lot of trouble before going back home and leaving me to clear up the mess. I am clearly regarded as a doddering old biddy without all her marbles who does not deserve respect for autonomy if predeceased by the patriarch. Not so. Although a lot older than me, the character of Miss Ellie was not written as a fool.
