In no way, shape, or form in the league of the HF G10 (Canon). And not much less expensive. HF G10 = a camcorder that you'll love for years. cx700 = a camcorder that you'll be pissed that you bought in 60 days. Spend the extra. You won't regret it.

Pretty decent camera, totally marred by horrific image stabilization. Had one, and ditched it for a Canon sx230 and never looked back. If you don't puke from this video's lack on stabilization.... it's a miracle.

Low light is comparable to cx700. Steady-shot is unbelievable. Walking around it looks like you have a hardware stabilizer. But whats up w/ the focus? 85% of the video is blurry. Was AF switched off?

I doubt that you'll ever get it balanced correctly. Flycam states that the max weight is 700 grams (1.5 LBS). You have more than double that on it. It's amazing that you got it as good as you did. A DMC-GF1 is more appropriate for that model.
