About Tension Free Drumming
Bill Meligari first brought his knowledge of the Gladstone Technique to drummers in an August 1979 Modern Drummer Magazine article. Nineteen years later, he introduced Gladstone worldwide over the Internet at www.TigerBill.com.
Nicknamed the "Tiger" by legend Joe Morello, Bill has spent more than thirty years in search of the ultimate technique. He found it in "Tension Free Drumming". Modifying traditional methods taught by Billy Gladstone, Sanford Moeller, and George L. Stone, Bill's system allows you to play with maximum speed, power, endurance, precision, and control but without tension that causes today's common repetitive motion injuries, such as carpal tunnel and tendonitis.
In 2004 Bill gained worldwide recognition winning the NAMM World's Fastest Drummer Competition playing over 1,000 bpm with his hands and feet!
