それらをもじったのが、この『チェックマット』 。ここでは、チェスボードに代わり、柔術には欠かせない「マット
TENSAI JJ ACADEMY
The academy was established in Konosu, Japan on June 03, 2008. The team has been officially registered and recognized by BJJFJ (IBJJF), and JJFJ following all the required quality standards. In the year 2011, TENSAI decided to join forces with Leo Vieira's CheckMat Team. The name TENSAIJJ/CHECKMAT JAPAN was born from this alliance. Our main goal is to strengthen and develop the team in Japan.
CHECKMAT TEAM
The team was formed on July 21, 2008, it has been led by Leonardo Vieira called "Leozinho" a 4th-degree black belt.
The team name comes from the comparsion to the final movement on a board in a chess game, here it means on a tatami. (tatami=mat)
