I worked on many of those old Detroit gensets. They are powerful but big fuel eaters. The new 4 strokes are much more efficent. Be careful you don't run it under load at speeds below 58 hertz. You will damage the voltage regulator for the 3 phase.

Long life but fuel eaters. They were good in the days when diesel was cheap. Todays 4 strokes are far more efficient on fuel and deliver the same or more power. Less noise and smoke.

Loud! Very Loud to work around these gensets. Love the power of these machines. I worked with Detroits and Cummins gensets.

Poor load recovery

I have the very same shot gun. I bought it in Play world back in 1972. It always made tinny sound when it was fired. Scared me a bit at first when I fired it. But its now my favorite 12ga. Only problem that I have with it is the magazine falls off when the gun is fired. It did that from day one. ...

What gauge copper wire did you use? From the video it looks like 14 or 12 gauge?

And have you used it to tune 80 mters? 40? 20?

3400 rpm is ok for resistive loads. But not enough for motor use. You need 3600 rpm to equal 60 herz. Don't run your refrig units lower than 59 herz. You will over heat the motor.

Love it! I got the same machine with the same loader only mine has the cab over with the standard bucket.

Try shooting 45 cal bullets. I fired one at 30 feet to target. More accurate with bullets. The 410's are only for very close range. Also this gun has a tendency to jam with 410 shells. I did not care for the weapon.
