~In debates, my opinions usually involve many underlying factors. I prefer to be blunt, in hopes of avoiding the error that comes from people having to 'read between the lines.' Jumping to conclusions never works when it comes to complex theories. Despite this, a popular thing to do lately seems to be responding with "are you saying that I'm (enter over dramatized assumption here)." I believe it's an attempt to put words in my mouth; words that would be easier to 'win' over than my actual point. Not only does this change the topic completely, but it leads to my having to re-state my opinion over & over to confirm that "I never said that." Not only is this annoying, but ineffective. Debates shouldn't be about 'winning' or 'losing.' They're about coming to a better conclusion over all.
This account will eventually be dedicated to my 'music'...if that's what you'd call it. It will also host many other things.
