TPA/IEA Post-Budget Briefing 2011
On Thursday 24th March 2011 the TaxPayers' Alliance and the Institute for Economic Affairs brought together key economic experts to share their findings and analysis of the previous day's Budget.
Speakers included Sajid Javid MP, Matthew Sinclair, Director of the TPA, Philip Booth, Editorial Director of the IEA, and Mike Denham, Research Fellow at the TaxPayers' Alliance. The event was chaired by Mark Littlewood, Director General of the IEA.

Post-Emergency Budget Briefing 2010
The TPA and IEA brought together key economic experts for a briefing on their findings in the Emergency Budget.

High Speed Rail: A Rich Man's Train
This series of videos look at pressures on middle to low income families, motorists and commuters and challenges the case for High Speed Rail (HS2), which will benefit a fortunate minority of passengers but cost well over £1,000 for every family in Britain.
The videos follow a programme of research from the TPA looking at the problems with the business case for the new high speed rail line and identifying the many towns that will lose out and get worse train services if HS2 goes ahead.

Cancel High Speed 2 Conference
Groups from across the political spectrum came together to highlight concerns over the Government's plan to spend billions on the flawed High Speed Rail proposals.
Speaking were Jenny Jones, London Mayoral Candidate for the Green Party; Alice Barnard, Chief Executive of the Countryside Alliance; Professor Stephen Glaister, Director of the RAC Foundation; Jerry Marshall, Chairman of AGAHST; and Matthew Sinclair, Director of the TaxPayers' Alliance.
The conference was co-chaired by Geoffrey Robinson MP, Labour for Coventry North West, and Andrea Leadsom MP, Conservative for South Northamptonshire.
