What I want to know is, what's the proper "wetness" of the paint before you start scraping with the palette knife? I see mostly yellow, where the posterboard is white. Does that mean you allowed the yellow to dry much longer than the pink and black before you began shaping?

Beautiful work. What tool were you using to carve out the waterfall? How did you keep it wet long enough to play with the water?

Is that a block of sandpaper you're using to highlight the crest of the waves? I've been trying this out, and I can't seem to make the highlights
