@KoalPilot your talking about the static level i think. well could be 1000 feet deep but unless the top of the water comes to within 25 feet of the ground that pump will not pull it. end of story.

NO Robert Fulton did not invent the ram pump. It is the oldest pump in the world, originally made with a round stone then later a cannon ball type valve. Ram pumps can push water hundreds of feet, but can't pull it.
