With training in Acting, Musical and Technical Theatre, Tara Londons involvement in performance and composition dates back to the early days of her youth. Strong influences including Billie Holiday, Elvis Presley and Janis Joplin explain her passion for individuality and flair, especially in the adverse face of existing trends. Always projecting a sound that inspires an emotive response within her, the desire to spread this feeling to those around her is the main drive behind this hugely talented musician, caring little for the conventional trappings of fame and fortune. Tara's music is a fusion of jazz, blues and retro pop, think Eva Cassidy meets Duffy! A truly engaging and inspiring performer, coupled with an amazing voice and charming personality, Tara is an artist of true quality, a rare find in an ocean full of aspiring Singer/Songwriters.
Presently Tara is about to release her long awaited debut album 'FairyTales & Stepping Stones' which will be available for purchase on Itunes, Cd Baby and Amazon in the very near future.Tara has traveled far and wide across London and the UK, with further dates to be confirmed across Europe and the US in 2010. With her work earning airplay on UK independent and national radio stations including the BBC INTRODUCING with Tom Robbinson and more recently International radio stations across both Canada and the US including UCW Radio in New York and INDIECAN Radio in Canada Tara's fan base has increased dramatically over the last year, as people are discovering this wonderful vocal and songwriting talent. Tara's powerful Live performances have gained her the respect of many music promoters, venues, audiences and fans alike. Taras endeavours have recently been reflected in the 2008 Indy Music Awards where she was selected as one of the four finalists up for 'Best Female Solo Artist' a category that had attracted over a 100,000 norminated artists. Tara has also made it through the finals of this years 'The Peoples Music Awards' voted for by the public, she is up for 'Best Female Solo Artist 2009 & Best Soul/Funk/Blues Artist 2009, Awards take place in April 2010, she will also be performing live at the event, details of ticket info will be posted shortly. signalling no pause in momentum for this bright star of the future, Tara will be performing up and down the country this year as well as perfoming on numerous collaborations, she is definately one to watch!
